Administrative Assistant Resume

As an administrative assistant, the important things to emphasize when writing down your resume are your secretarial skills. For the hiring manager, it is important that the skills you put down are concrete and verifiable facts.

A good working experience is also a factor especially for employers who value work experience.

When writing down your job objective, make sure that it is well-worded in order for you to show motivation and interest in the job opening.

In the summary of qualifications, write down your main qualifications in an impressive way, as this is the section which attracts attention. Choose your words in order to present them in a more business-like way.

“Arranging meetings”, for example, may be replaced with “Scheduling expertise”; “Orders food for meetings” may be more aptly worded as “Well-developed logistical skills.” Although modesty is a good trait, it is inadvisable in a resume.

In your work experience, write down what you have accomplished as an administrative assistant, and how it has helped your company.

Lastly, format your resume in such a way as to attract the attention of the reader, and make important information easy for them to find.
