Email Resume
An email resume format presents your resume details in a very simplified manner. This is usually used when the hiring agents instructs you to send your resume online. Even if you attach your resume to your email, the fonts that you have used may not be reflected when sent to someone else’s computer. This may destroy your resume.
The safest way to preserve the details of your resume to be sent online is to follow the email resume format. This means that the formatting is reduced to placing spaces in between the sections of your resume. Other than the spacing, no other formatting is used. Indentions and tables are omitted. Also, everything has to be in a “text only” format to preserve the details and the content, which are the most important part of your resume.
In order to allow distinction on the sections of your resume, you may use Caps Lock for the major sections of your resume, such as “Educational Background” or “Work History.” You may also use Bold for the sub headings in each section, such as the title of your position and your courses in college.
