 Experience Resume

An experience resume format highlights your experiences that are essential in a particular field. Writing such a format allows you to market yourself to an industry effectively. Basically, this resume format focuses more on your employment history and field activities. Therefore, these sections are tackled first.

Summarizing your career profile when you start your resume is recommended. It should state the total number of years in the field, your current job or activity, and your most notable characteristic. This section aims to grab attention from the reader so write only your most enticing aspects. Next, elaborate on your employment history. State your job, the company, and the time frame, followed by a brief account of your notable functions and achievements. If you are in the arts industry, present your notable works and pieces before this section. Your works should include the title, the publisher or producer, and year. Your education may follow next. You need not elaborate on the details, since you are focusing on your experience.

Your competencies, skills, and interests may also be listed. On the other hand, your employment history and field activities have already tackled the details of these sections.
