Hybrid Resume

The hybrid resume format integrates different resume formats. This optimizes the use of the resume in terms of highlighting the main components of a person’s career that may not be presented well in an otherwise single resume format. This format may be a combination of chronological and functional, chronological and professional, and so on.

This example presents a hybrid of the functional and chronological formats. This works basically like a functional resume, but with supplementary elements of the chronological format. The main reason for this delves on the reputation of the functional format among various employers. Many of them dislike the functional format, but many job seekers see the need for it because of their experience background. Thus, they still highlight the skills, but present the work history at the end of the resume. This is the hybrid format in order to make it more acceptable to employers.

First, present your objective, followed by the educational background. The main section tackles your important skills. Consider the skills needed in the job that you are applying for and focus on them. This gives you better platform on your prospect job and employer. Finally, present your educational history. You need not elaborate on them because you have already presented your skills in the main section.
