Legal Resume
The legal resume presents your career in the legal field with focus on both your experience or practice and educational background. Since the success in this field is largely dependent on the school you have attended, it is important to stress your notable achievements while in school. Adding your experience in the field likewise boosts your career in the field. The trick is to construct your resume strategically in order to highlight your marketable points.
Start your resume with the summary of your career. List in bullets your highest attainment, your current job or degree in school, and your excellent characteristics. The next section should discuss your educational history chronologically, starting from the most recent attendance. Elaborate on your achievements by listing them in bullets. Next, present your qualifications in your profession. Whether you have passed the bar exam or attained certain kinds of certificates.
Your employment history follows. List your position, the company name, and dates in a chronological manner. Present what you did in each job and your achievements if you have any. If you have practiced by yourself and not under any law firm, list it too. Your qualifications must also be briefly written. End your resume with reference persons.
